Episode 3 - Program Updates, Around Town News and Party Reminder!

Snowflakes have fallen since our lastest episode - woohoo! We have a number of updates to share with the crew in this episode as well as some reminders as we start to prep for the season. Hopefully many of you will be joining us at our Preseason Freeride Party this Saturday, Nov 11th 5pm-7pm at the Club. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan appropriately!

Program Overview

  • There are some program changes that will be introduced this year and reviewed during the Preseason Freeride Party presentation portion of our get together on Saturday, as a preview here is a program overview.

  • Weekend Program

    • Head Coach Bryan Salatino

    • Training hours 8:30-1pm

    • Weekend Groups

      • U15/U19 East

      • U15/U19 West

      • U12 East

      • U12 West

    • U15 and U19 train together on weekends.

    • U15/U19 and U12 athletes are randomly sorted each week into “East” and “West” groups; you'll receive assignment via email on Wednesdays

    • Weekly coach communications sent out by age group lead coaches.(see Coach Bios for lead details)

    • At competitions athletes are coached by their age group coaches.

    • U10 coaches are IFSA certified and participate in all Freeski coach training.

  • Weekday Program

    • Head Coach Ashley Maxfield

    • Training hours 12:00 to 4:00

    • SNSC members who meet the Freeski Team criteria can participate

      • “Eligible Freeski athletes are able to ski the entire mountain, trek into the backcountry, and confidently navigate difficult natural terrain.”

  • IFSA 2024 Junior Program Updates

    • Bryan will discuss some of these changes on Saturday; this is a helpful FAQ to reference prior

    • Cambridge Community Center, 22 Old Main Street, Jeffersonville; Sale is Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
